Our Waste Future Forum

The Mornington Peninsula Shire’s Annual Waste Forum is an annual event on the Mornington Peninsula that generates awareness and conversation around waste consciousness and initiatives within the local community. Precious Plastic Monash was invited to the event on May 11, 2019 to showcase our teams integration unit.
I was taken aback by the genuine intrigue and enthusiasm from all attendees that I was lucky enough to converse with. To be able to engage with the wider community, and hear first hand how grateful they were to see a group of students working towards raising awareness against plastic pollution and recycling, was extremely gratifying. It is this feedback, and encouragement that makes the team’s hard work worth the effort.
Thank you once more to the Mornington Peninsula Shire for allowing us to demonstrate our team’s work. Also thanks to all the other organisations that attended who were demonstrating their exciting and thought provoking initiatives, this led to a fantastic day!
