Firstly, a little about us…
Hi there!
We are Precious Plastic Monash, a group of multidisciplinary students from Monash University. We are a chapter of a world wide community, Precious Plastic, and our goal is to tackle and provide solutions to the ever growing presence of plastic pollution. Our main focus areas are education, community and design.

what we do
Making Plastic Precious
At Precious Plastic Monash, we love to educate and engage with the wider community. Through our work at schools and shows, like the Royal Melbourne Show, we have been able to showcase our machines and hold demonstrations and lessons on how plastic is recycled and how it can be implemented in the home. We are always learning and researching new ways to improve recycling methods and finding new materials that can be a substitute for plastic. Our main goal is to empower the next generation to think globally and act locally.
